Sudekum Planetarium

The Adventure Science Center in Nashville, TN has a new permanent exhibit wing--the Sudekum Planetarium.

Recently, my family had the opportunity to visit and explore this new addition. The new star projector is digital --very impressive. One of our favorite exhibits was the moon walk simulation.  Grant was too short this year, but just wait until the next time. In the meantime, Dad and big brother, Ivan, had lots of fun!

The Adventure Science Center is a wonderful asset for Middle Tennessee. It is a great learning experience for children and adults.  You can even schedule a fun birthday party for your children. Check it out.  You'll be glad you did.

Williamson County Fair 2008

If you haven't been to the Williamson County Fair, there is still time. The Fair is at the Williamson County Ag Expo Park in Franklin, TN. The theme for 2008 is "Red, White and Blue Ribbon Fair" and the events run through Saturday, August 9th.

There are fun activities for the entire family, i.e. Ultimate Air Dogs, Xtreme K9s,petting zoo, Little 1's Farming, clown circus, 4-H competitions, and of course, the Midway.

One of Tonight's special performers is Grand Ole Opry performer, Pam Tillis.  What a treat to have such talent in our own backyard!

Saturday is Patriot Day and veterans get in free. The families from Delta and Echo Companies from the 1st Battalion and 327 Infantry at Ft. Campbell will be special guests. The City of Franklin and Brentwood have adopted these companies. We sincerely appreciate our troops and their families service to our country.
